"Brand new in box."
In the context of item condition, "BNIB" means "brand new in box". Typically, a box is used for items that need protection from impact damage during transit. The box should be fully sealed (either with shrink wrap or tape) and looking exactly as it would on the shelf in a retail store. Once it has been opened, it is no longer "BNIB".
