What Does "FV" Mean?

"Face value."

In the context of stamps, "FV" means "face value". The face value is how much value a stamp carries when used as postage to mail a letter. For example, the face value of the below Canadian stamp is 46 cents, denoted by the big "46" in the bottom right corner.
