What Does "NIP" Mean?
"New in package."
In the context of item condition, "NIP" means "new in package". Visually, it looks exactly like it would on the shelf in a retail store. Plastic packaging is sealed and never opened, and there's no wear or damage of any kind. Item is fully functional. Typically, the packaging is some type of soft/hard plastic backed onto cardboard, which is a cost-efficient way for companies to package items that aren't very susceptible to impact damage.
See the Condition Hierarchy for more information.
