^ Additional Information
Dimensional weight is a value calculated from the dimensions of the package, based on a pre-specified density by USPS. Since they bill by weight, this calculation helps to account for the physical space a package takes up on the delivery truck, by the converting the volume into an equivalent weight. This equivalent weight ensures excessively large but light packages are still billed correctly. USPS uses a dimensional weight divisor of 166 for all shipments.
